Ok, it's actually May, because I'm running behind, as usual. But I love the month of May, especially this year as we are finally getting some nice weather.
Work has been crazy busy and my weekends have been busy as well. It's like I have a life or something! So, not too much stitching this month.
No finishes this month, but I worked on a bunch of things.
On the crafty side, I made my mom a stepping stone for Mother's Day. The part in the middle is a solar light. The star gems also glow in the dark.
And that's all for this month!

March Update
Finally, spring is finally showing signs of arriving in the north! The spring birds are back, a few brave plants are waking up, and my cats are shedding buckets. And the seasonal allergies have already started, yay. Ah well, a small price to pay for warmer weather.
So, onto the stitching. I do have one happy dance. I finished Dragon Boo by Dragon Dreams and X's & Oh's.
I worked on a few other projects too.
That's all for this month. Hopefully I'll have more time this month for stitching!

And the star afghan continues to grow. My mom already called dibs. Guess I have to make another one for myself!

February Update
So to the stitching. First is a happy dance. I finished I'll Make My Own Happy Ending by Dragon Dreams.
And now for WIPs:
Dragon Boo (Dragon Dreams and X's & oh's)
Minature Spring Sampler (Teresa Wentzler)
Needle and Thread Sampler (Jeanette Douglas)
And a couple of new projects.
Waterlily by Mirabilia.
And a new crochet project, a star afghan. I'm trying to use up some of my yarn stash.
I also tried a project someone posted on Facebook to make a bag out of a T shirt. My best friend gave me this T shirt ages ago (because it's awesome and perfect for me), but I can't wear orange. I've been planning to make it into something, but never got around to it. I just need to sew up the sides a bit.
And that's all for this month!

Happy 2013 and first update
So, it's a new year of stitching! First off, I decided not to do the Crazy January Challenge this year, as I didn't do too well with it last year (only 8/15 done). Instead, I have a few goals (which probably won't get met either, ha ha!).
Goals for 2013:
Finish two Mirabilias--for my Mira of the month wall. I have eight done and four more to go. Magnolia is half done and Bluebell is in progress. Ivy and Waterlily are just kitted.
Get at least 3 old WIPs done--I have a list and a half, and any three will do. More if possible, of course.
Get all obligation stitching done--I'm stitching something for my niece's bday in March and I have a few ornaments I promised to make for friends.
Do something with the pile of finished stitching!--Framing/finishing, whatever. No excuses this year.
And now for progress pics.
First of all, a couple happy dances, especially happy since they were on the "obligation" list.
I did allow myself some new starts. First of all Minature Spring Sampler by Teresa Wentzler.
Shiver Me Timbers by Sue Ellis
And now some WIPs. First, Magnolia and Bluebell.
Windows of My Heart by Victoria Sampler
And I will finished off with a picture of my newly framed New Year Fairy who is naturally hanging up right now as my January Mira. Please ignore the reflections.

And oops, almost forgot, I started another set of birds last night after I finished the cockatiel seen in the first picture. These will be budgies.

Final WIPocalypse Update
First of all, Happy New Year everyone!
So, it's the end of the year and time to review. First my January challenge:
1. Biggest Stash- barely worked on it.
2. Sweet Pea (Mirabilia) - done!
3. Sewing Jars (SanMan Originals) - done!
4. Jack o Cat (Mill Hill) - barely worked on it.
5. Cookie Monster scarf - done!
6. Plant Love (Lizzie Kate)- done!
7. Cupcake stand (SanMan Originals) - about half done
8. Little Witches Needlebook - maybe 1/3 done
9. New Year's Fairy (Mirabilia) - done!
10. Phoenix (Joan Elliott) - done!
11. Dragon Dreams afghan - made no progress
12. Baby Sampler - done! (no pic)
13. Tiny Pumpkin Etui - almost 1/3 done
14. Winter Sampler (Teresa Wentzler) - done!
15. Magnolia (Mirabilia) - about 1/2 done
So, 8/15 done isn't terrific, but not bad either.
Other happy dances:
Well, I've had years where I stitched lots more, but given how little time I have now, I didn't do too badly. I plan on doing the WIPocalypse 2013 challenge too, because it kept me inspired to stitch and post. So, onto the new year!

November WIPocalypse Update
Wow, this month went so fast! I can't believe it's time to update again.
First, a happy dance. I made a crocheted snow lady from a free pattern as a Christmas present for my mom.
I also put together a tree skirt and stockings with a giraffe theme. I picked up the tree skirt and stockings on sale after Christmas last year. I took some of my stuffed giraffes (Of which I have more than any one person should have), sewed on Santa hats or scarves, and sewed them on. This started due to my using a giraffe as a tree topper last year when the star topper fell apart.
I also did a little finishing. I bought a lot of tucks from Sandy of SanMan Originals, and between the new ones and the ones I already had, I finally did something with the monthly jars (also from SanMan) that I finished over a year ago.
And a few WIPs. I worked more on Magnolia.
I did a lot on Winter Sampler. It is soooo close to being done!
And I remembered an ornament that has sat around mostly done. I just need to backstitch now.
