But I love the month of May, especially this year as we are finally getting some nice weather. <br />
<br />
Work has been crazy busy and my weekends have been busy as well. It's like I have a life or something! So, not too much stitching this month.<br />
<br />
No finishes this month, but I worked on a bunch of things.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
On the crafty side, I made my mom a stepping stone for Mother's Day. The part in the middle is a solar light. The star gems also glow in the dark.<br />
<br />

And that's all for this month!<br />

The spring birds are back, a few brave plants are waking up, and my cats are shedding buckets. And the seasonal allergies have already started, yay. Ah well, a small price to pay for warmer weather. <br />
<br />
So, onto the stitching. I do have one happy dance. I finished Dragon Boo by Dragon Dreams and X's & Oh's. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I also tried a project someone posted on Facebook to <a href="http://tealouandsweetpea.wordpress.com/2012/06/27/diy-no-sew-fringe-tshirt-tote/">make a bag out of a T shirt</a>. My best friend gave me this T shirt ages ago (because it's awesome and perfect for me), but I can't wear orange. I've been planning to make it into something, but never got around to it. I just need to sew up the sides a bit.<br />

First off, I decided not to do the Crazy January Challenge this year, as I didn't do too well with it last year (only 8/15 done). Instead, I have a few goals (which probably won't get met either, ha ha!).<br />
<br />
Goals for 2013:<br />
<br />
Finish two Mirabilias--for my Mira of the month wall. I have eight done and four more to go. Magnolia is half done and Bluebell is in progress. Ivy and Waterlily are just kitted.<br />
<br />
Get at least 3 old WIPs done--I have a list and a half, and any three will do. More if possible, of course.<br />
<br />
Get all obligation stitching done--I'm stitching something for my niece's bday in March and I have a few ornaments I promised to make for friends.<br />
<br />
Do something with the pile of finished stitching!--Framing/finishing, whatever. No excuses this year.<br />
<br />
And now for progress pics.<br />
<br />
First of all, a couple happy dances, especially happy since they were on the "obligation" list.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Well, I've had years where I stitched lots more, but given how little time I have now, I didn't do too badly. I plan on doing the WIPocalypse 2013 challenge too, because it kept me inspired to stitch and post. So, onto the new year!

I can't believe it's time to update again.<br />
<br />
First, a happy dance. I made a crocheted snow lady from a free pattern as a Christmas present for my mom.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8K3UWP2Vp52VCrI2WX_uJj0z3iEdmYFTDYtHNh4ScZiJTJJ9WmDSjtefWgm4BFs5ySWfoC-Uqs4MrUSNbQsm7lOMCAb5c2MDvzCs0rv7ejno3hpEYrsxyRx_nZKe1u8oCLe3lSvzjCEI/s1600/DSCN2450.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8K3UWP2Vp52VCrI2WX_uJj0z3iEdmYFTDYtHNh4ScZiJTJJ9WmDSjtefWgm4BFs5ySWfoC-Uqs4MrUSNbQsm7lOMCAb5c2MDvzCs0rv7ejno3hpEYrsxyRx_nZKe1u8oCLe3lSvzjCEI/s320/DSCN2450.JPG" tea="true" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I also put together a tree skirt and stockings with a giraffe theme. I picked up the tree skirt and stockings on sale after Christmas last year. I took some of my stuffed giraffes (Of which I have more than any one person should have), sewed on Santa hats or scarves, and sewed them on. This started due to my using a giraffe as a tree topper last year when the star topper fell apart. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxV2tP3zqPAn2NWoAr8DsuuB7OjXOnEMfxrwlvKYzIsLBuq65yjitx__26jcOmRnlityEu7PJD66xB5ScSOJpkrQTseETFzPi7msJvCxq18c8jCSJBNGWySDwyGZggfztRZKVVta2bwYk/s1600/DSCN2444.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxV2tP3zqPAn2NWoAr8DsuuB7OjXOnEMfxrwlvKYzIsLBuq65yjitx__26jcOmRnlityEu7PJD66xB5ScSOJpkrQTseETFzPi7msJvCxq18c8jCSJBNGWySDwyGZggfztRZKVVta2bwYk/s320/DSCN2444.JPG" tea="true" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJx0U77ThVk-zTrM_YN3TEo8VPCCldqfCTrHeRmPVtcPPc6XH1wbaeIybQS6H5NifN4uZf7uoE5dnpIss0aYIJ6v18SzIIxU3jva9IWBNkYdgBMuCjprMC1tLfwXeGuJIyd5K-xoJmkKY/s1600/DSCN2445.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJx0U77ThVk-zTrM_YN3TEo8VPCCldqfCTrHeRmPVtcPPc6XH1wbaeIybQS6H5NifN4uZf7uoE5dnpIss0aYIJ6v18SzIIxU3jva9IWBNkYdgBMuCjprMC1tLfwXeGuJIyd5K-xoJmkKY/s320/DSCN2445.JPG" tea="true" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I also did a little finishing. I bought a lot of tucks from Sandy of SanMan Originals, and between the new ones and the ones I already had, I finally did something with the monthly jars (also from SanMan) that I finished over a year ago.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQhXz71CHZE1bWvI-6O6GnvVXHQKj8-D3Rj0_4I7B2_gFD51oC66QfGjoNvImT1U54fpnR_l5JGnI6iWFLj5mgLnzEP3ty24sWtcakA3J-QjdzipWPZEYLqQ9732zd8qb6IxA0Xj_RQ6M/s1600/DSCN2435.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQhXz71CHZE1bWvI-6O6GnvVXHQKj8-D3Rj0_4I7B2_gFD51oC66QfGjoNvImT1U54fpnR_l5JGnI6iWFLj5mgLnzEP3ty24sWtcakA3J-QjdzipWPZEYLqQ9732zd8qb6IxA0Xj_RQ6M/s320/DSCN2435.JPG" tea="true" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And a few WIPs. I worked more on Magnolia.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2nHomJIop_LHWCnXw2Zb51CEum2MLyJfLTCWj7A2BWRUBFB-smHZ-Ab-7HHo6fKUL8BGdH6-j03BAq4C2-21ANVY7E-o5Y-V79ojdO83TIOzHTk-NQvvFalmpiD1SNC0khwZgqjkX4Ow/s1600/DSCN2466.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2nHomJIop_LHWCnXw2Zb51CEum2MLyJfLTCWj7A2BWRUBFB-smHZ-Ab-7HHo6fKUL8BGdH6-j03BAq4C2-21ANVY7E-o5Y-V79ojdO83TIOzHTk-NQvvFalmpiD1SNC0khwZgqjkX4Ow/s320/DSCN2466.JPG" tea="true" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I did a lot on Winter Sampler. It is soooo close to being done!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-vpbm2T4E7MnC_tskcLHBZjl_pyfoa2PYEkLVCLc6sWMwd9eGWYdgFO6D7vIkxpylkYgNIamY5dQqBvKR5iPPy1T9maHTfKwUeV8NfmiR9b5DFwxsgV8fPuIm3VV6p9GZA3PJ1byt0rQ/s1600/DSCN2467.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-vpbm2T4E7MnC_tskcLHBZjl_pyfoa2PYEkLVCLc6sWMwd9eGWYdgFO6D7vIkxpylkYgNIamY5dQqBvKR5iPPy1T9maHTfKwUeV8NfmiR9b5DFwxsgV8fPuIm3VV6p9GZA3PJ1byt0rQ/s320/DSCN2467.JPG" tea="true" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And I remembered an ornament that has sat around mostly done. I just need to backstitch now.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It's been a long month. <br />
<br />
First, I have two finishes! <br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I finished Happy Halloween from Fresh Threads Studio.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjndDivb7UozK0PcqXaKrVnEhvbG-on3MZQSmE_8josxlZ9LSgIy6uOzRo1BfspWaxrsINmTawXhEThC1iWhdZJdxylGV4qwiSbQC1U9Bkh36M-qi4cDbqZTd-KPwFIWMtMQ33itG5CI_A/s1600/DSCN2430.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" oea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjndDivb7UozK0PcqXaKrVnEhvbG-on3MZQSmE_8josxlZ9LSgIy6uOzRo1BfspWaxrsINmTawXhEThC1iWhdZJdxylGV4qwiSbQC1U9Bkh36M-qi4cDbqZTd-KPwFIWMtMQ33itG5CI_A/s320/DSCN2430.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also finally finished Sewing Jars by SanMan Originals.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf-vsHCLhcrVhpSzb3ojkBPj12IMhPqcpsq6g7q4ehGDQuEcaGqBVhY-hqiXmNTv8mRTXjc1zRNsRwELnI4JQC_eWyTdnws4xCaOIEEhYl6Pkcqa7PHmo26gPM03HJHFH7KgfTvQLf4Ew/s1600/DSCN2431.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" oea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf-vsHCLhcrVhpSzb3ojkBPj12IMhPqcpsq6g7q4ehGDQuEcaGqBVhY-hqiXmNTv8mRTXjc1zRNsRwELnI4JQC_eWyTdnws4xCaOIEEhYl6Pkcqa7PHmo26gPM03HJHFH7KgfTvQLf4Ew/s320/DSCN2431.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I also finished my spider garland. Three have crocheted bodies, but the rest are pompoms. The "web" is a really long chain stitch.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjydvFXNFbjzwF3DiO95bcpbarSUdL-qO8zeN-H_SgrugxwQ8lNQdHCbir-pLfGYgwEcW1YgiwzJ7aP_qpue-sq7XKQMKZ9vMIY4fvDhOnLYr7mSDeVDFbLh7Uem5PpocmdicSzTICBBPI/s1600/DSCN2408.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" oea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjydvFXNFbjzwF3DiO95bcpbarSUdL-qO8zeN-H_SgrugxwQ8lNQdHCbir-pLfGYgwEcW1YgiwzJ7aP_qpue-sq7XKQMKZ9vMIY4fvDhOnLYr7mSDeVDFbLh7Uem5PpocmdicSzTICBBPI/s320/DSCN2408.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also did a little finishing, and made Bittersweet Autumn into a bellpull.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I worked a bit more on Magnolia this month.</div>

I also worked a bit on Winter Sampler, the cupcake SAL, and the Little Witches needlebook.</div>

The only down side is that winter isn't far away, and that's my absolutle least favorite time of the year. But for now, I will revel in Halloween goodness.<br />
<br />
So for a stitching update...just two WIP pictures this month. My stitching mojo seems to be weak lately. But I have worked on some fall/Halloween projects.<br />
<br />
First is Jeanette Douglas's Pumpkin Sampler. It's working up fast.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3k8ZKxoPyiw7cmHmRBlpTSo4vJWJqpZDPxP_WTmZhTzoY7brwIw6lfhzPq-Kbbqd3DS_nWwf95Waj6y-hPhc9_6dDJp0OdyvuVJQv_4GzWjL74UTEl0NtUoYUoql6UtvaZwaNC1RhAgI/s1600/DSCN2406.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" kea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3k8ZKxoPyiw7cmHmRBlpTSo4vJWJqpZDPxP_WTmZhTzoY7brwIw6lfhzPq-Kbbqd3DS_nWwf95Waj6y-hPhc9_6dDJp0OdyvuVJQv_4GzWjL74UTEl0NtUoYUoql6UtvaZwaNC1RhAgI/s320/DSCN2406.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And I've been working on a Halloween ornament by Fresh Threads Studio.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9U5RnjacZoRWGVQjQ-YIarTIbnzjzlKxWa69NtmNURLf2eNjiKzAZUUQvgw-mqBP4i5P0ck3AcHi3JNCiFEeZI2DW_4Hp-BfJEo4I5L9c6e-v_iEZge_FkjmR2OHTCShDvYWnrPzo6as/s1600/DSCN2407.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" kea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9U5RnjacZoRWGVQjQ-YIarTIbnzjzlKxWa69NtmNURLf2eNjiKzAZUUQvgw-mqBP4i5P0ck3AcHi3JNCiFEeZI2DW_4Hp-BfJEo4I5L9c6e-v_iEZge_FkjmR2OHTCShDvYWnrPzo6as/s320/DSCN2407.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And while I haven't been stitching, I have done a bunch of finishing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1DsJeP8JJS6usIEm-S9DbAsTH-csmJMYt86Ufr72eUJjmyjzzCdkyayWW-ch-ooJDGcsRdasktd1iEjuNnRr9tfuaCrN2E6szsVWSOIk7Z-btDzhVdeWDneanGzYGRslHUNgru0tsrNw/s1600/DSCN2396.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" kea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1DsJeP8JJS6usIEm-S9DbAsTH-csmJMYt86Ufr72eUJjmyjzzCdkyayWW-ch-ooJDGcsRdasktd1iEjuNnRr9tfuaCrN2E6szsVWSOIk7Z-btDzhVdeWDneanGzYGRslHUNgru0tsrNw/s320/DSCN2396.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And I almost have the little pumpkin done (just needs it's stem).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4tlNXP-M-ckKdelNXJjchvCiZM4xoBgQ0-XXCDYd7DiolIbhEoyHBlIIYz7dnnlFuj4Ei8VWzvXeASuUIo1o9UfFPZPgz0mB0lRGoGXmnGVl-vQQtpafpD4u-oBLN7kloFkmvz1MW7kA/s1600/DSCN2397.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" kea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4tlNXP-M-ckKdelNXJjchvCiZM4xoBgQ0-XXCDYd7DiolIbhEoyHBlIIYz7dnnlFuj4Ei8VWzvXeASuUIo1o9UfFPZPgz0mB0lRGoGXmnGVl-vQQtpafpD4u-oBLN7kloFkmvz1MW7kA/s320/DSCN2397.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
And of course I already decorated for Halloween. :)<br />

And that's all I have for this month.</div>

Still, it was so nice to have some time away from work.<br />
<br />
So, the main triumph this month was finishing Phoenix, which I got done during the Olympic "sprint". I posted it then, but I'll post it again.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7yBHM9xguteJy7QcLz7IeE61F7iUdQ5UeOd1h034-wj2Pa8N4wkQnZoeiAllfCX0g6QPoYTZLMbx8bRYBAW99Nb0Zg0UmFv2B0IyaGMMwglEpyS4CGMitecWqNIVUjBUx9wR42TkUl08/s1600/DSCN2202.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" hea="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7yBHM9xguteJy7QcLz7IeE61F7iUdQ5UeOd1h034-wj2Pa8N4wkQnZoeiAllfCX0g6QPoYTZLMbx8bRYBAW99Nb0Zg0UmFv2B0IyaGMMwglEpyS4CGMitecWqNIVUjBUx9wR42TkUl08/s320/DSCN2202.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I tried to sprint on Sewing Jars, and I did get the cross stitch done! But the 15 (!) colors of backstitch bogged me down. But it's coming along slowly.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi96GhTiBpiWmbV2NW5-kqlHtJysVticMzpv2KJQZ9NVh9Qkee8QVY4YMEAKNnSOl8HX3Q8J9TfUEF6Q2ZuPDgb2QX7OqT6kQ8V1E2MlQV2Lj95JSR3qxyoM39s1eBzlfQOXv7QHH7JolA/s1600/DSCN2227.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" hea="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi96GhTiBpiWmbV2NW5-kqlHtJysVticMzpv2KJQZ9NVh9Qkee8QVY4YMEAKNnSOl8HX3Q8J9TfUEF6Q2ZuPDgb2QX7OqT6kQ8V1E2MlQV2Lj95JSR3qxyoM39s1eBzlfQOXv7QHH7JolA/s320/DSCN2227.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I also worked on a couple of my crazy January projects, Tiny Pumpkin Etui and Winter Sampler.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLwtkQtx-2fRwVUb3hyZhZXyx99JxmgfbuwLb4bLrvcJCEn0wjyZER5cqu4vbg_pJ6BrZljfQGoJdu70aKyCLzKsyU8snh0NyubqWnpW9EOoxpnLX77HiEZcGNrfXEkVQcX778Xbt2MB0/s1600/DSCN2230.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" hea="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLwtkQtx-2fRwVUb3hyZhZXyx99JxmgfbuwLb4bLrvcJCEn0wjyZER5cqu4vbg_pJ6BrZljfQGoJdu70aKyCLzKsyU8snh0NyubqWnpW9EOoxpnLX77HiEZcGNrfXEkVQcX778Xbt2MB0/s320/DSCN2230.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These are panels of a pincushion. Two are done, and I started the third.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
And Magnolia is also coming along slowly.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
I have a couple of new starts, Pumpkin Sampler by Jeannette Douglas from the Halloween issue of JCS and a Halloween crochet project (spider garland).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRq1zqQBTc1Qc6zhUQJ_QhePiN5kY_XhHtA4dT9Vo1b7h9-Kgh4Oc_1Skb1K1Hkigo7B0BOZFfYp9uLYusklAGbswMh3E01_c7hhI6e88z_bSDyRyEg7YGDdM5P3TRrkQ2RAqCZvr_eRo/s1600/DSCN2229.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" hea="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRq1zqQBTc1Qc6zhUQJ_QhePiN5kY_XhHtA4dT9Vo1b7h9-Kgh4Oc_1Skb1K1Hkigo7B0BOZFfYp9uLYusklAGbswMh3E01_c7hhI6e88z_bSDyRyEg7YGDdM5P3TRrkQ2RAqCZvr_eRo/s320/DSCN2229.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
I also got into a crafty mood and started some finishing, as well as a smaller version of the glass pumpkin I did last fall.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6wwDUIpxK0Lqc5DV4u2-AoAEEW-xrIW4J8Tw0HflfQwHiQDwNaK_HmSy6ES0MYWkL7oi8Zzbro2f7SKOfkeNJsKuhvt6gBbSVOdS_61MqT1KxLvHNlE8YMQ02OV6gg7OipPwFDPdPuRM/s1600/DSCN2214.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" hea="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6wwDUIpxK0Lqc5DV4u2-AoAEEW-xrIW4J8Tw0HflfQwHiQDwNaK_HmSy6ES0MYWkL7oi8Zzbro2f7SKOfkeNJsKuhvt6gBbSVOdS_61MqT1KxLvHNlE8YMQ02OV6gg7OipPwFDPdPuRM/s320/DSCN2214.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And that's it for another month!</div>

<br />
And now what to do? I have another piece I could "sprint" on...but I also just got the Lizzie Kate Mystery Halloween sampler in the mail. Decisions, decisions....<br />
<br />
ETA:<br />
<br />
I decided I will be sprinting on Sewing Jars by San Man Originals (see pic in previous post). Let's see if I can finish it this week!Shannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00762285189587688365noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701342634011275251.post-45463428330115996422012-08-03T12:19:00.003-07:002012-08-03T12:19:36.716-07:00August WIPocalypse updateWell, it seems to be a hot humid start to August here in Michigan. I am so happy I have central air. :) I've been working on Joan Elloitt's Phoenix as I watch the Olympics (pic is in my last post). I'm still backstitching those big tail feathers, but it's getting there.<br />
<br />
So, I have some happy dances this month. First are a couple of things for a friend's baby.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeR638lBwKEjtCecZqph2oxfoi2o0D6OXomasuC24fUJmZ13k9P8gNDnsqDZlLME_1Uw0Qo5pCpkewCGetR6w96ecTfkgnnUpRHoJ19zhNByRJ-1BbVWB_pJdnlfwPcr565StzMlgm_Os/s1600/DSCN2193.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eda="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeR638lBwKEjtCecZqph2oxfoi2o0D6OXomasuC24fUJmZ13k9P8gNDnsqDZlLME_1Uw0Qo5pCpkewCGetR6w96ecTfkgnnUpRHoJ19zhNByRJ-1BbVWB_pJdnlfwPcr565StzMlgm_Os/s320/DSCN2193.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I was supposed to see little Trinity this weekend, but I'm running a slight temp and have a sore throat. So, no being around little ones for me! So my mom will deliver the gifts for me.<br />
<br />
And a little Halloween stitching. One is Mill Hill and the other is by The Stitchworks.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUqqle8ZlzoFLyK9m3esn4H4nxy1hqi1wlPG2nNMsoqm3qkQNOunHNvswvMGH4YYzDe_qdfJ8C2W3DLFYCwYmIcpO9CX7pw0XUqlQ7khqBWi83RZnlA8smOv0ezA61koUNa7_8-K2khTI/s1600/DSCN2201.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eda="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUqqle8ZlzoFLyK9m3esn4H4nxy1hqi1wlPG2nNMsoqm3qkQNOunHNvswvMGH4YYzDe_qdfJ8C2W3DLFYCwYmIcpO9CX7pw0XUqlQ7khqBWi83RZnlA8smOv0ezA61koUNa7_8-K2khTI/s320/DSCN2201.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And now for WIPS. Keeping with the Halloween mood, I worked on my needlebook by Fern Ridge Collections. Hmmm...I seem to be a little stuck on witch hats.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbg2DhoNXXfc6NVK4F0AtijX6-f978EW_dfSrTdXspShXK14lrhKBABO6_zJjMiHuHBKvBICKAGnGTAxCtOxqBZuqPwIL7s9ChugMNIiVrSIyvs9Q6tzJqjma-mN9oIzVJ0YvsFMqcc3E/s1600/DSCN2199.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eda="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbg2DhoNXXfc6NVK4F0AtijX6-f978EW_dfSrTdXspShXK14lrhKBABO6_zJjMiHuHBKvBICKAGnGTAxCtOxqBZuqPwIL7s9ChugMNIiVrSIyvs9Q6tzJqjma-mN9oIzVJ0YvsFMqcc3E/s320/DSCN2199.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I also worked more on San Man's Sewing Jars.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPCReP_SUfweCBibiMdhw5vDA1xEk2ZLwqw-ChRb-Dz2rhUBCgMLIC57pANC9iMmviVCKtmERj-rT4KnA_A47YL-hzACM9hcMaCKoEApQF0zm356XldvO895_Xnk2M5EEiZZFAzpDm6pU/s1600/DSCN2198.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eda="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPCReP_SUfweCBibiMdhw5vDA1xEk2ZLwqw-ChRb-Dz2rhUBCgMLIC57pANC9iMmviVCKtmERj-rT4KnA_A47YL-hzACM9hcMaCKoEApQF0zm356XldvO895_Xnk2M5EEiZZFAzpDm6pU/s320/DSCN2198.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And a little more on Joan Elliott's Butterfly Cushion.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ3We06bIOxiNQCzGlZcnGHbvT5dJzZHlPB_udXqFacJXb68U1K48c6F6O6B04BQMk1eN6aqBnz8PI7e4UkNqA6dS3OT1osmiwcrVH7JCSfXDH_n0pimfbL7s1RUipqklc9Xg-PoszdDw/s1600/DSCN2200.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eda="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ3We06bIOxiNQCzGlZcnGHbvT5dJzZHlPB_udXqFacJXb68U1K48c6F6O6B04BQMk1eN6aqBnz8PI7e4UkNqA6dS3OT1osmiwcrVH7JCSfXDH_n0pimfbL7s1RUipqklc9Xg-PoszdDw/s320/DSCN2200.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And last but not least, Nora Corbett's Magnolia.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhksIUAP3-9NXHrQvqJ2Z8zbG37THvALv1rZj525kFPK8Xd53EIREawoqR8zvkiNOvvlqPxB7oo0IHHAgkk3NNiA0ZhcfMLTEOWdIgmIeC_AwS-Dkv-x4vS1WOHYsHJMv4_PtLZpJb5Xk4/s1600/DSCN2197.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eda="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhksIUAP3-9NXHrQvqJ2Z8zbG37THvALv1rZj525kFPK8Xd53EIREawoqR8zvkiNOvvlqPxB7oo0IHHAgkk3NNiA0ZhcfMLTEOWdIgmIeC_AwS-Dkv-x4vS1WOHYsHJMv4_PtLZpJb5Xk4/s320/DSCN2197.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And speaking of Nora Corbett, I have my August Mirabilia up on the wall. She's one of my favorites.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgao775fFj1ggMdVBC3QvaI82hslBel8e5KjO6g9ScfRSNgrCoZHQoRcOSxKZstvMVOIMQVEPnpLKPfyj4ic4nph0NTrXREhGjufSOMhnkOFgMQkthTBaHO20rKHfBBFCgQfduaSEbqbr0/s1600/DSCN2194.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eda="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgao775fFj1ggMdVBC3QvaI82hslBel8e5KjO6g9ScfRSNgrCoZHQoRcOSxKZstvMVOIMQVEPnpLKPfyj4ic4nph0NTrXREhGjufSOMhnkOFgMQkthTBaHO20rKHfBBFCgQfduaSEbqbr0/s320/DSCN2194.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And now, I should get off the computer and back to the Phoenix. :)<br />Shannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00762285189587688365noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701342634011275251.post-59264317526720992612012-07-27T19:57:00.000-07:002012-07-27T19:57:23.578-07:00Olympic StitchingI will be "sprinting" to finish Joan Elliott's Phoenix during this Olympics. All that's left is a few miles of backstitch. :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It seems like this year is just whizzing by. Although I won't argue if fall wants to get here quicker...I'm sick of this extreme heat! And fall means Halloween! :)<br />
<br />
So, I have two happy dances this month!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRdPZt4R0EDIlQdad3mY6Lv9UcAK1Y4mIi1WQezUPxG-dQNEJH0dVfX-NqgTJrxBWRcdmXEHaB6V0g-zRU9W0hSxw8cya-Ci2Kej3-cdGkv3j0jZm-xYzRmpiaqdct4uXO7Nvj5XM0Cz4/s1600/DSCN2183.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" sca="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRdPZt4R0EDIlQdad3mY6Lv9UcAK1Y4mIi1WQezUPxG-dQNEJH0dVfX-NqgTJrxBWRcdmXEHaB6V0g-zRU9W0hSxw8cya-Ci2Kej3-cdGkv3j0jZm-xYzRmpiaqdct4uXO7Nvj5XM0Cz4/s320/DSCN2183.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
First is a baby sampler pillow for some friends. Hopefully, I'll be able to give it to them in person next month.<br />
<br />
Next is a little freebie from SanMan Originals:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6LUbnCOLI-PiBO3EwFn2dCNoEY1r9lG9RaUZMiZGGMh6Tsm2FF_qvkXFViD94uaezsq7q2DvNHS3z2R-8Lq8fNCJIFOgoyWaBU0xC4Yhhn1Nbh7Wn87pWf3EpYSEoJLCEvyz6Nn7d_H8/s1600/DSCN2184.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" sca="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6LUbnCOLI-PiBO3EwFn2dCNoEY1r9lG9RaUZMiZGGMh6Tsm2FF_qvkXFViD94uaezsq7q2DvNHS3z2R-8Lq8fNCJIFOgoyWaBU0xC4Yhhn1Nbh7Wn87pWf3EpYSEoJLCEvyz6Nn7d_H8/s320/DSCN2184.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Speaking of SanMans, I'm still working on Sewing Jars and the cupcake tree.<br />

<br />
<br />
I'm also still working on Magnolia.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHCv1f24ElMn84Koi1NJ5zOeho633ftxjdTLZpp5waJq8520GtXvPDkJ1wnFGdfCQ_uHmz56HMuautLPfc-OKrVhnMH0-n0CTbJvkljiZ0bwJvrEEAWSd9ngP3pKvQ2kjr0CZnS9x0hAo/s1600/DSCN2188.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" sca="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHCv1f24ElMn84Koi1NJ5zOeho633ftxjdTLZpp5waJq8520GtXvPDkJ1wnFGdfCQ_uHmz56HMuautLPfc-OKrVhnMH0-n0CTbJvkljiZ0bwJvrEEAWSd9ngP3pKvQ2kjr0CZnS9x0hAo/s320/DSCN2188.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
And Joan Elliott's Phoenix is being backstitched! Yup, all the cross stitches are done! I think. But there's a few miles of backstitch, so no happy dance just yet.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD1cZP6QK5uYwrS3Q0PWzLnI6f7I0Ver3e3MXRNdOQ14ewkykmCCB8VfGRV38GXvLhw7UGPwEGfwEbeuxmrrjcpqcVa7oSbpK-zJVFwZLDiZCW6l7kPHiWqNpID2ycMWiP2vd3M1vaHmY/s1600/DSCN2185.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" sca="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD1cZP6QK5uYwrS3Q0PWzLnI6f7I0Ver3e3MXRNdOQ14ewkykmCCB8VfGRV38GXvLhw7UGPwEGfwEbeuxmrrjcpqcVa7oSbpK-zJVFwZLDiZCW6l7kPHiWqNpID2ycMWiP2vd3M1vaHmY/s320/DSCN2185.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
I picked this little Mill Hill kit up yesterday at the my LNS (along with many other goodies including the 2012 JCS Halloween collection!) and started it:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxOz-f3qZkPhCFmV-WTny_F9AR45HXbPeLgnenLm9MHv6dgghTz6g80dSwmBxBFSTR7seDj4oLRbaXxF3bhirDlGxjbThWq8hVEIBv4uKeCOw2dpqgmlcSdgnGTepI3RNXr3aALkMjJus/s1600/DSCN2189.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" sca="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxOz-f3qZkPhCFmV-WTny_F9AR45HXbPeLgnenLm9MHv6dgghTz6g80dSwmBxBFSTR7seDj4oLRbaXxF3bhirDlGxjbThWq8hVEIBv4uKeCOw2dpqgmlcSdgnGTepI3RNXr3aALkMjJus/s320/DSCN2189.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I also got Sweet Pea framed and hanging up, which is good, as she is my July Mirabilia.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCQr63wXnnINv0nnj5dtawNtYZrcefnFIKa1rBkNlzfkiP99SVEGu3lSuBZMKcR5OLsoHQuuaiIe_I0o4Kj5_juUj5RBIoz0fF6iqMeEpYdqqnnM3Eep28gk3lchwRPlWAhQxlFWOUotQ/s1600/DSCN2191.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" sca="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCQr63wXnnINv0nnj5dtawNtYZrcefnFIKa1rBkNlzfkiP99SVEGu3lSuBZMKcR5OLsoHQuuaiIe_I0o4Kj5_juUj5RBIoz0fF6iqMeEpYdqqnnM3Eep28gk3lchwRPlWAhQxlFWOUotQ/s320/DSCN2191.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I did a few crafty things as well. I thought the octopus I did last month looked lonely, so I made him a friend.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZWuQzObZMZ6TA__3XFfGj7DrcicsZyMh6CocuXC5H76acSBsiXJnBlu2-ur5WJqEtOZQJZH7tieHaKTbjpRkSC2QzAk56LUJJz8R2pRS3Kolt3J_pUzxPGxvO67Ox1LbvFuFXmiIvLxk/s1600/DSCN2190.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" sca="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZWuQzObZMZ6TA__3XFfGj7DrcicsZyMh6CocuXC5H76acSBsiXJnBlu2-ur5WJqEtOZQJZH7tieHaKTbjpRkSC2QzAk56LUJJz8R2pRS3Kolt3J_pUzxPGxvO67Ox1LbvFuFXmiIvLxk/s320/DSCN2190.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I also made memory boards for my nephews...but I forgot pictures! I do have a pic of the one I made for their sister:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhc1dvZgqnC7ZaHMkmi-S0qTuNtOXtNBdMSkvzieJIIeSSQY76UOGwhDNEUFeUS7dLxr-SFlMb_PjILme8u4C6EFOMI5CHdRUpZcu34D1ssBVxJi02GduW9itajldB906jxmvfogU-hsSY/s1600/DSCN2622.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" sca="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhc1dvZgqnC7ZaHMkmi-S0qTuNtOXtNBdMSkvzieJIIeSSQY76UOGwhDNEUFeUS7dLxr-SFlMb_PjILme8u4C6EFOMI5CHdRUpZcu34D1ssBVxJi02GduW9itajldB906jxmvfogU-hsSY/s1600/DSCN2622.JPG" /></a></div>
So, like that, but one was in University of Michigan fabric with yellow ribbon and one was Michigan State fabric with white ribbon. Yes, they live in the same house (their poor parents!).Shannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00762285189587688365noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701342634011275251.post-90629101994195342062012-06-03T16:36:00.001-07:002012-06-03T16:36:19.271-07:00June WIPocalypse updateHey, I'm posting on time. It's a miracle! Lots of WIPs this time since I skipped them last month.<br />
<br />
First, Phoenix by Joan Elliott is coming along.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKOJ-NPI1Py31HEadLsKB9Ze_xE7-a-fnM1C9RNa7bgVSqgQkPIwSZLWJqiAf4qD5oCzuu79bPJYeq3EQG-zfOtf3l9VcG1M4Nyqn-bGokJly1YdTDupj_c7erUu99YR8VnMdENh-lwX8/s1600/DSCN2163.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" rba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKOJ-NPI1Py31HEadLsKB9Ze_xE7-a-fnM1C9RNa7bgVSqgQkPIwSZLWJqiAf4qD5oCzuu79bPJYeq3EQG-zfOtf3l9VcG1M4Nyqn-bGokJly1YdTDupj_c7erUu99YR8VnMdENh-lwX8/s320/DSCN2163.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Then there's my two SanMan designs, the cupcake stand and Sewing Jars.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr1qcC5nTa3k8-irbpAoYX9OifnPAc5IlBjUTE8Xc3gS0U3PIwy5uzgKzLyYb9EB22OHI2kQ4Z2GMuhtmsukyuMP6RmpXTAzaJs3ujWMR1avJAtsRPV6VxzZelBaMXmH6dJkpOD6QEU2Q/s1600/DSCN2165.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" rba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr1qcC5nTa3k8-irbpAoYX9OifnPAc5IlBjUTE8Xc3gS0U3PIwy5uzgKzLyYb9EB22OHI2kQ4Z2GMuhtmsukyuMP6RmpXTAzaJs3ujWMR1avJAtsRPV6VxzZelBaMXmH6dJkpOD6QEU2Q/s320/DSCN2165.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVYiADUIWUglhLIdkDzSquJ9cqAiS2RtUvS9cOWBsh8eS5X-4EVxT6Xy_7Kd3xTKaYARTQsGAbwIRNyewit7Jcjvn2o7-pBwcJbbx4q11JbThqBQX_yHkHvG4HKx6lx5Gm2twxC70omEM/s1600/DSCN2168.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" rba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVYiADUIWUglhLIdkDzSquJ9cqAiS2RtUvS9cOWBsh8eS5X-4EVxT6Xy_7Kd3xTKaYARTQsGAbwIRNyewit7Jcjvn2o7-pBwcJbbx4q11JbThqBQX_yHkHvG4HKx6lx5Gm2twxC70omEM/s320/DSCN2168.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Since New Year's Fairy is done, now I'm working on Magnolia.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiryUAE50tWYb2QF8btv2g7ZBGCavFjT272xaRDrzYxU5kH31adn4S6TzeS8K8Y1wARyWpvNfEc1gMvlM0abxRybtem8SwXz_vnPmR6UgDFyV4ER8vS4okOahnN0TRKSUtPjBwdooIn1FE/s1600/DSCN2167.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" rba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiryUAE50tWYb2QF8btv2g7ZBGCavFjT272xaRDrzYxU5kH31adn4S6TzeS8K8Y1wARyWpvNfEc1gMvlM0abxRybtem8SwXz_vnPmR6UgDFyV4ER8vS4okOahnN0TRKSUtPjBwdooIn1FE/s320/DSCN2167.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I also worked a bit more on The Biggest Stash by Janis Lockheart.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivuRzqCBHVyloSeE3-3DF8DrSdh3SBi7DtZC8lszHvKcj2xlYPx6p_IRI40vDZTB7R3psfXHnS7zPWIeSA0QNkEtuJOxU822Ag3izQ2SJSGiG2_AxkFFzsHaSdbp3FkRIKRH5Yy84hT_U/s1600/DSCN2169.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" rba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivuRzqCBHVyloSeE3-3DF8DrSdh3SBi7DtZC8lszHvKcj2xlYPx6p_IRI40vDZTB7R3psfXHnS7zPWIeSA0QNkEtuJOxU822Ag3izQ2SJSGiG2_AxkFFzsHaSdbp3FkRIKRH5Yy84hT_U/s320/DSCN2169.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Then I actually pulled out Teresa Wentzler's Dragon Ride, which hasn't seen the light of day in a very long time and stitched a bit on the wings.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBxVOxfr31gj6y6L4IkorE86oY-xExOpkyDOCClUYIQVGg1Cmc4Uub2VAq0o50mplbbGX1gSrV7h8fHbchpknB3Y9HnWPy7msfcO1XeZRCVYYf-5Gxj4U5TG2SDdXEBJlp02O3e3PKa-4/s1600/DSCN2166.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" rba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBxVOxfr31gj6y6L4IkorE86oY-xExOpkyDOCClUYIQVGg1Cmc4Uub2VAq0o50mplbbGX1gSrV7h8fHbchpknB3Y9HnWPy7msfcO1XeZRCVYYf-5Gxj4U5TG2SDdXEBJlp02O3e3PKa-4/s320/DSCN2166.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Then I started something new, because obviously, this is a sickness. *l* This is Joan Elliott's new butterfly design found in a recent issue of the The World of Cross Stitching. It is a gorgeous design!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY0zORmxtzgSCRNeNyNp492d95DN1Bel7YzwxdOfxT8wIt4jWSs80phZFpnUr4OH48ux8fdy-cucPOsUpAsGz7qFhq0HwVXzyOa-QWeIR7MluThXR1etF8Vy4-FKx7oxXMuC1qLCHAPus/s1600/DSCN2170.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" rba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY0zORmxtzgSCRNeNyNp492d95DN1Bel7YzwxdOfxT8wIt4jWSs80phZFpnUr4OH48ux8fdy-cucPOsUpAsGz7qFhq0HwVXzyOa-QWeIR7MluThXR1etF8Vy4-FKx7oxXMuC1qLCHAPus/s320/DSCN2170.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I also did a few crafty things. I made a couple of hats for a steampunk convention last weekend, although the seamstress hat with the pincushion proved to be too heavy. :( I also made a feather toy for the kitties since I had the feathers out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggYpMO0upIYwfGx-8l-ssXhMbL6pQNw5w6uDqMesT1Q5nSQCR8Ieqckg5PDGg_Ai23HNp0mT6YaTaB5u0cDuIStFJSW3kYxa90G4_3nxy5pPzxPm5PeOgyyJzTV-yyGpakjXWZYqiillY/s1600/DSCN2155.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" rba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggYpMO0upIYwfGx-8l-ssXhMbL6pQNw5w6uDqMesT1Q5nSQCR8Ieqckg5PDGg_Ai23HNp0mT6YaTaB5u0cDuIStFJSW3kYxa90G4_3nxy5pPzxPm5PeOgyyJzTV-yyGpakjXWZYqiillY/s320/DSCN2155.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
And then I crocheted a little octopus for a friend. This was a free design I got off the Crochet Pattern Directory, but unfortunately, the blog it came from doesn't seem to exist anymore.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX0so0uMNn-4tmbIWHOMOqDxOnhvBLS1Q6oVcC47tPdjKsztYAayNiNqovZ8Wtpdfc06KJQUDNMH-HuwfiyWl7bijougtYoYYfTmrF0ixpRHIo4Tdv6xsucMZ2hKdj9sZSi4VwExcdOsc/s1600/DSCN2172.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" rba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX0so0uMNn-4tmbIWHOMOqDxOnhvBLS1Q6oVcC47tPdjKsztYAayNiNqovZ8Wtpdfc06KJQUDNMH-HuwfiyWl7bijougtYoYYfTmrF0ixpRHIo4Tdv6xsucMZ2hKdj9sZSi4VwExcdOsc/s320/DSCN2172.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
And that's it for another month! <br />Shannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00762285189587688365noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701342634011275251.post-26583102656831656332012-05-18T19:52:00.001-07:002012-05-18T19:52:20.317-07:00WIPopocalypse May UpdateI am running so late this month! So, I am just going to post a couple of happy dances and leave the WIPs for the next post. Not that the WIPs have much progress...I have not been stitching as much as I'd like to be.<br />
<br />
So first, a Hardanger card I made for a coworker who left this month for a new job.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUE2n2T7ah26h2tmQ5a1Ifi98m7Kk4KQiYcQc3JM23LZm7mxQt3IaZNaBv2bWh5O8bIlGJ7O5AA-wxnQzL-Wd5FGqyIDsM0sKFWlrHELGmTrfQYGauIXyeYc2abxcOEztK5_KN0bxiUxg/s1600/DSCN2151.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" kba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUE2n2T7ah26h2tmQ5a1Ifi98m7Kk4KQiYcQc3JM23LZm7mxQt3IaZNaBv2bWh5O8bIlGJ7O5AA-wxnQzL-Wd5FGqyIDsM0sKFWlrHELGmTrfQYGauIXyeYc2abxcOEztK5_KN0bxiUxg/s320/DSCN2151.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
And next, I finished New Year's Fairy!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1r-UkR1L_TsnCnmQsROkuxQETpUbCwziSmllvhNVyQFYvtI9UHrwzBrhuUGwZDhwP8fa10xygXxds1O8oodlStcku-H74hgvgtNNasPev4UeFeAOn5hQLeGFJjvN2Sk1jHoHAMWgg_1c/s1600/DSCN2154.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" kba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1r-UkR1L_TsnCnmQsROkuxQETpUbCwziSmllvhNVyQFYvtI9UHrwzBrhuUGwZDhwP8fa10xygXxds1O8oodlStcku-H74hgvgtNNasPev4UeFeAOn5hQLeGFJjvN2Sk1jHoHAMWgg_1c/s320/DSCN2154.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

First off, I have another happy dance this month! Well, two actually. I also finished the baby sampler, but I can't post a pic because I put the baby's full name on it. I did post a picture last month of everything except the words.<br />
<br />
So, my big finish this month is Irish Toast by Cross My Heart.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguQ6zVcuyRV5lQtBeHtqtd5IDA03vVhVeGORxrzH_Jk7kZK7N8Ci6QgufJ9NfZ-aRyJREofmZVClE2C6_gMd4Dz7o6fRemSY1uuZlzWL9zlPMItJj03mbDqX8DwuiJntLiJuvkMTZ6q1A/s1600/DSCN1973.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" nda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguQ6zVcuyRV5lQtBeHtqtd5IDA03vVhVeGORxrzH_Jk7kZK7N8Ci6QgufJ9NfZ-aRyJREofmZVClE2C6_gMd4Dz7o6fRemSY1uuZlzWL9zlPMItJj03mbDqX8DwuiJntLiJuvkMTZ6q1A/s320/DSCN1973.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>This is an old WIP too. I checked my stitching journals, and it was started in 2003! Ironically, I started this piece after I stitched this pattern for my grandmother, because I wanted one of my own. Well, I got the original piece back last year after my grandmother died. But that one was stitched on white Aida, and this fabric is much nicer, so I decided to finish and keep this one.<br />
<br />
As for the rest of my WIPs, I worked on a bunch of stuff again. I continued working on Joan Elliott's Phoenix.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigKyY4qysMhyphenhyphenICp4RsjHgolkS6rMRYvR0RkefEOiKT_tSMuuMgCC0yIfnlstx9AnbNkZJDmnnnO0jjQcXAEvuRiKtfTf01D4Xpir6s0HF6uUlpoleRicBaakCgcytdszvS8N2kH1SXFa0/s1600/DSCN1963.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" nda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigKyY4qysMhyphenhyphenICp4RsjHgolkS6rMRYvR0RkefEOiKT_tSMuuMgCC0yIfnlstx9AnbNkZJDmnnnO0jjQcXAEvuRiKtfTf01D4Xpir6s0HF6uUlpoleRicBaakCgcytdszvS8N2kH1SXFa0/s320/DSCN1963.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
Also, the two SanMans, Sewing jars and the monthly cupcake stand.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOu3-zZBrgB9TFyIHlhd2aOKEq_n37jNWRC4GS62i8w9iqJO_5b6tU72PW_E1QWh5pQvxpo1yyCex6x4YLo9Us0RTSAiokj04JxpbTdFfhvvBvnq4xfVUzy3awTDd7lWEd-l-1xpsqcGQ/s1600/DSCN1969.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" nda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOu3-zZBrgB9TFyIHlhd2aOKEq_n37jNWRC4GS62i8w9iqJO_5b6tU72PW_E1QWh5pQvxpo1yyCex6x4YLo9Us0RTSAiokj04JxpbTdFfhvvBvnq4xfVUzy3awTDd7lWEd-l-1xpsqcGQ/s320/DSCN1969.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />

I finally got the dress done (and legs and face) on New Year's Fairy!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5CVm2Dm1RrhCRuZVAXZx3b5WiV6J9cEvc1RXceZJ2l8E_tsHTfx_NkgwtlC5EMnMz6-ngi35yg8yY6QnFIrarL3pmK69Y3NHo_to5NNockS5a1sWrBYKPsEBRUtcAHDSeaFyyqbonluM/s1600/DSCN1965.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" nda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5CVm2Dm1RrhCRuZVAXZx3b5WiV6J9cEvc1RXceZJ2l8E_tsHTfx_NkgwtlC5EMnMz6-ngi35yg8yY6QnFIrarL3pmK69Y3NHo_to5NNockS5a1sWrBYKPsEBRUtcAHDSeaFyyqbonluM/s320/DSCN1965.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
I'm working on another baby project. This goes into a tuck pillow. The design is exclusive to a needlework store nearby.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_51JIrtBIuMnU1Cw2wcPhMPN_b_raBc1zePbooqXr66-eFlsPYAqISndDuvsjBoD3Wo2QgNYDPsGpXpu0i9Bx_-lOtYAtxYrlGtCN9YcCB85uhSueJU7_4j0Cnen5YN0TMZMCyBqzjbA/s1600/DSCN1966.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" nda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_51JIrtBIuMnU1Cw2wcPhMPN_b_raBc1zePbooqXr66-eFlsPYAqISndDuvsjBoD3Wo2QgNYDPsGpXpu0i9Bx_-lOtYAtxYrlGtCN9YcCB85uhSueJU7_4j0Cnen5YN0TMZMCyBqzjbA/s320/DSCN1966.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">And I pulled out another old WIP that I had forgotten, Lily of the Valley Sampler by Drawn Thread.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkqF8qC2HX7k0LVDXPSEsjm_-rxk6HvSLGZwIeQJ3KZEafTyvBLt5Wd1GycfNxPbavbj6BvE10nUf79VBcVfpzHZSq7LEy1BTIwlWptiD50Ms3JqtsyxXcvmL7C7Omc8z6wBuPeVMbBFo/s1600/DSCN1968.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" nda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkqF8qC2HX7k0LVDXPSEsjm_-rxk6HvSLGZwIeQJ3KZEafTyvBLt5Wd1GycfNxPbavbj6BvE10nUf79VBcVfpzHZSq7LEy1BTIwlWptiD50Ms3JqtsyxXcvmL7C7Omc8z6wBuPeVMbBFo/s320/DSCN1968.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>I also started something new, because I just don't have enough to work on. :-P<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="240" nda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjFAKf22oUAcgA40XJBk6McTFbya4BT6s2GKyVpQf33huQMNkS0AcHl51lahJHWm34ckds0YM1t5x8x3kURfChnaTODzLO_STS4DCyDJWVpx_aSHTRp8vpl3ffFDdMOr3vYFTOYxB_0D8/s320/DSCN1967.JPG" width="320" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>This is Happy Easter by Hinzeit. I got the pattern and frame in a grab bag. :-)<br />
<br />
Last, but not least, a friend inspired me to dig out Peacock Tapestry and work on it again. I'm working down in the grassy area very very very slowly. *l*<br />
<br />
<br />

First off is a crocheted scarf I made for my niece who just turned 13. She loves Cookie Monster. :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsx40hQebAPrXgyshiaK2YYokLHMILl6jbdqOldUT_sVEEzQL-uzHccVKfU9aTK-SrVbw_Mibp1DcjQ8D3IReCr-tcjHvtqoywkb4dfYv1OodwnyEEHPZAN1r3lCrzFZyeJJMSLzMnBJk/s1600/DSCN1932.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsx40hQebAPrXgyshiaK2YYokLHMILl6jbdqOldUT_sVEEzQL-uzHccVKfU9aTK-SrVbw_Mibp1DcjQ8D3IReCr-tcjHvtqoywkb4dfYv1OodwnyEEHPZAN1r3lCrzFZyeJJMSLzMnBJk/s320/DSCN1932.JPG" width="320" yda="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">ETA: This is a free pattern, found <a href="http://yarngrrrl.livejournal.com/30600.html">here</a>. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Next is a little kit I picked up at my LNS's Super Bowl sale. Since I collect pincushions, I had to get this.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLAF3CqAczwdHK_nK_X2ayqeUVFqsuy45Fv_zDsIsvMqarWpCRa0Jd_xeHO6orBGcMIB9C9tC3mAllB-O7ofQ5yqWS5SCNPb_UrUSqai1DKWz__BMu_SfFBjlvc-wrVYE___DfiejzT6U/s1600/DSCN1939.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLAF3CqAczwdHK_nK_X2ayqeUVFqsuy45Fv_zDsIsvMqarWpCRa0Jd_xeHO6orBGcMIB9C9tC3mAllB-O7ofQ5yqWS5SCNPb_UrUSqai1DKWz__BMu_SfFBjlvc-wrVYE___DfiejzT6U/s320/DSCN1939.JPG" width="320" yda="true" /></a></div><br />
And now progress shots. I continued working on New Year's Fairy.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfmHafojigNJogwl1CXPpWzAvBjsnVlvz2cyk5Ry9OZ-BncVJUxskkzQIswqakOQ2C3mDP4ya4FTt9C6-4qGj6K7hHXdOgsvUDHQBMu0lnp_yCPEnLGF4YFG0oCvcvbgs2qE-xzR9gNCc/s1600/DSCN1936.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfmHafojigNJogwl1CXPpWzAvBjsnVlvz2cyk5Ry9OZ-BncVJUxskkzQIswqakOQ2C3mDP4ya4FTt9C6-4qGj6K7hHXdOgsvUDHQBMu0lnp_yCPEnLGF4YFG0oCvcvbgs2qE-xzR9gNCc/s320/DSCN1936.JPG" width="320" yda="true" /></a></div><br />
I also got the baby sampler all done except the name and date. And yes, baby Starling finally arrived on the 17th, and she's a beautiful healthy girl. I haven't gotten to see her yet though. :(<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLtwSRRHjUJjKie5p0UglLvaFvNGjfzeIPDFaNV5Mb8Ge17525xxziAv61OXQlw83Q_IdunE7Z1Wu2qoyWT7MXmnf25PC6eyfKGoGO2sbB4xTMLJataxhaqd_5h06EbaFHOfjlPpGpeCY/s1600/DSCN1934.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLtwSRRHjUJjKie5p0UglLvaFvNGjfzeIPDFaNV5Mb8Ge17525xxziAv61OXQlw83Q_IdunE7Z1Wu2qoyWT7MXmnf25PC6eyfKGoGO2sbB4xTMLJataxhaqd_5h06EbaFHOfjlPpGpeCY/s320/DSCN1934.JPG" width="320" yda="true" /></a></div><br />
I also worked more on the SanMan cupcake tree, and got the February cupcake done.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTjfZuZmFeF341phhyphenhyphenC_Ago0lSUztcfq5f1tHe84nQ6KxGpXN7iVV2t_wg0MoXz_F2_S1YChXBnjOsLS4hst-o7-8Ud972SIgSfnqrtV1HJ7RFb3-hUosBbitLTlJfzpCmF5bLkqKjG2E/s1600/DSCN1933.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTjfZuZmFeF341phhyphenhyphenC_Ago0lSUztcfq5f1tHe84nQ6KxGpXN7iVV2t_wg0MoXz_F2_S1YChXBnjOsLS4hst-o7-8Ud972SIgSfnqrtV1HJ7RFb3-hUosBbitLTlJfzpCmF5bLkqKjG2E/s320/DSCN1933.JPG" width="320" yda="true" /></a></div><br />
I got a bit more done on Joan Elliott's Phoenix.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2-Qp4Kb37OysrzXrkkiL4up1UjqAP8u-0NwHGf6MLb3F71o37Qc5kLSMHnIY3YLkEzzmYcdZIuJYnIWDp5UGtPgZijyh3665SNSLLQQGst0sfTQ7_0OL8XT_Iz0lMxUPcgHoSFDf2ENE/s1600/DSCN1937.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2-Qp4Kb37OysrzXrkkiL4up1UjqAP8u-0NwHGf6MLb3F71o37Qc5kLSMHnIY3YLkEzzmYcdZIuJYnIWDp5UGtPgZijyh3665SNSLLQQGst0sfTQ7_0OL8XT_Iz0lMxUPcgHoSFDf2ENE/s320/DSCN1937.JPG" width="320" yda="true" /></a></div><br />
And I worked more on Irish Toast.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7vjBIHXzoP3IjTW5FAC8budG7YbSaql8OTDugU9PHD3Q-Wuk3GN7CSVFvmhwqrCGfYjQkkndTJpcyYqvonRq5fUBpHt5yoUb-88ocjWltuK9wEHJnFg528sArUdLtoGdSWIXia0L0Ivw/s1600/DSCN1948.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7vjBIHXzoP3IjTW5FAC8budG7YbSaql8OTDugU9PHD3Q-Wuk3GN7CSVFvmhwqrCGfYjQkkndTJpcyYqvonRq5fUBpHt5yoUb-88ocjWltuK9wEHJnFg528sArUdLtoGdSWIXia0L0Ivw/s320/DSCN1948.JPG" width="320" yda="true" /></a></div><br />
And that's all for this month!<br />

I meant to get it done last year, and I did make progress, but now I just have a load of backstitching to do (which is what I started on). This is Irish Toast by Cross My Heart.<br />

This got started as a round robin actually. I did one square (peace) and the other two (and a half) were done by friends. This only got pulled out due to interest on the SanMan board to do a afghan SAL. I worked a bit on the half done square, discovered more than a few "issues", and then started a new square.<br />

So, that's all the WIPs. Now for the crazy January week 2 update. Mostly WIPs this week.<br />
<br />
Day 8: Started Little Witches needlebook by Fern Ridge designs. I just got the outline done and the moon stitched.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwMSrn-8B2g6n2dSC90cJ7xKzSTqA7yoM-hCBeITImQZm3HnB3zBqjBd_L_HUfL6shnGms-1z0K-kIfoXPAEIzbd49-w_3bgrCDXP2O63QAcGEhkgabfR-baqsYcVw6_riLKo-quOGFu0/s1600/DSCN1917.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" kba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwMSrn-8B2g6n2dSC90cJ7xKzSTqA7yoM-hCBeITImQZm3HnB3zBqjBd_L_HUfL6shnGms-1z0K-kIfoXPAEIzbd49-w_3bgrCDXP2O63QAcGEhkgabfR-baqsYcVw6_riLKo-quOGFu0/s320/DSCN1917.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Day 12: Worked on baby sampler. See pic above. I counted over to start one of the owls, but now I'm wondering if I should have left more room for the baby's name. The parents won't tell me until after the baby's born. I just know how many letters.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Day 13. Started tiny pumpkin Etui by Praiseworthy Stitches. </div>Day 14: Worked on Winter Sampler by Teresa Wentzler. See pic above. I decided to remove Earth Goddess from my list and put another WIP on it. I'll start the goddesses only when I finish Phoenix.<br />
<br />
Day 15: Starting Magnolia by Mirabilia. And I should probably get off the computer and get on that. :) Shannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00762285189587688365noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701342634011275251.post-29051490961849534302012-01-08T10:49:00.000-08:002012-01-08T10:49:17.243-08:00Crazy January Challenge-week 1<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>So far, I've worked on one project a day. Five were new, two were WIPs. So much for concentrating more on WIPs! *lol* <br />
<br />
Jan. 1 Started The Biggest Stash by Janis Lockhart (magazine pattern). Since it doesn't look like anything but a greenish blob at the moment, I won't post a pic.<br />
<br />
Jan. 2 Worked on Sweet Pea (Mirabilia). She's pretty much number one on my WIPocalypse list because she's almost done. I finished the braid in her wings and backstitched her legs.<br />

The main part of the scarf is cookies with the two ends being Cookie Monster's head. Ok, that sounds a bit creepy, but it really is cute. It's a free pattern found <a href="http://yarngrrrl.livejournal.com/30600.html">here</a>. (Pic is on Ravelry). I got four cookies done, but didn't take a pic, since they're just four brown circles.<br />
<br />
Jan. 6 Worked on Plant Love by Lizzie Kate, technically a WIP, but I only started it right before Christmas.<br />
<br />

Today, I'll be starting my Little Witches needlebook, as it seems a bit complicated and thus needs a bit more time than I have on week nights. I think I have to stitch the outline first...so lots of counting. *sigh* Shannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00762285189587688365noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701342634011275251.post-46485345978694110292012-01-01T13:56:00.000-08:002012-01-01T13:56:58.525-08:00Project list(s)So, I'm back home to my stash, and have picked my projects! <br />
So, it's January 1st, and time to start the first crazy January challenge project. I decided new year means new project, so I'm starting with The Biggest Stash. It seemed appropriate. *lol*Shannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00762285189587688365noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701342634011275251.post-23251540061856012262011-12-29T20:21:00.000-08:002011-12-29T20:21:50.947-08:00New year and a new startAlthough I completely fell off the blogging wagon this past year, I am reviving this blog to participate in two stitching challenges in 2012. First of all, I am doing a modified crazy January challenge, where I will work on a different project every day from January 1 through January 15th, and then try to finish all of them by the end of the year. Most will be WIPs, which will fit in with the other challenge, the 2012 WIPocalypse, which is all about finishing the WIPs. The latter requires blogging every month, so hopefully, the blog will stay alive this year. :)<br />
<br />
I need to get my list(s) of projects together, but I'm still away from home. I have a few I can think of off the top of my head though:<br />
<br />
Plant Love by Lizzie Kate<br />
Phoenix by Joan Elliott<br />
Sweet Pea by Nora Corbett<br />
New Year's Fairy by Nora Corbett<br />
Baby sampler (various designers)<br />
Dragon Dreams afghan (afgan SAL on SanMan board)<br />
Irish Toast by Cross My Heart<br />
Cookie Monster scarf (crochet)<br />
<br />
Well, that's over half for the January challenge! I'll get a more complete list together once I get home to my stash. :)Shannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00762285189587688365noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701342634011275251.post-49713141195837183752011-04-24T15:49:00.000-07:002011-04-24T15:50:07.024-07:00Life's been crazy!So, I am finally getting around to updating. The last month and a half has been just insane. I found out my job was getting eliminated, my gall bladder went bad and had to be taken out, and despite all that my mom and I still managed to take the tour to Italy that she had already paid for. Italy was fantastic, the job and gall bladder situation not so much. <br />
<br />
So back to stitching! I really didn't stitch at all on the Italy trip. By the time we got back to the room at night, we were exhausted. And I've had some trouble getting back into stitching since I've been back due to jetlag and something causing dizzy spells and lightheadedness. Meh. But I've been able to work on smaller projects. And I even have a few small happy dances.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJdGEpWot1rCmgsq8XhwW5aav0py-err61viDn-Gmr_HgBgQWgR54OLlT1w-LF7OEHdSZ3Wg9sk3Xcgkrypl7XfGvvWcUdIyOcRwO4sU-rsr6shFK5f9jV2Byj9YHVCB_jSCAJuiMHdYM/s1600/SB-wandawitch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" i8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJdGEpWot1rCmgsq8XhwW5aav0py-err61viDn-Gmr_HgBgQWgR54OLlT1w-LF7OEHdSZ3Wg9sk3Xcgkrypl7XfGvvWcUdIyOcRwO4sU-rsr6shFK5f9jV2Byj9YHVCB_jSCAJuiMHdYM/s320/SB-wandawitch.jpg" width="234" /></a></div>This is Wanda Witch by Shephard's Bush. I got this as a kit from a grab bag. I actually finished her before the gall bladder episode, but never posted her.<br />

I've finished all the cross stitch for the front and back sides, and now it just needs to be finished into the case. <br />

<br />
World Steam Expo is coming up very soon and I have so much still to do! I have to finish my new skirt and figure out my accessories. My character is a seamstress, and while I have great ideas for making a steampunk sewing box, actually doing it is a lot harder. I really wish I had some mechanical talent!Shannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00762285189587688365noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701342634011275251.post-76473943280049951652011-02-13T14:18:00.000-08:002011-02-13T14:18:44.020-08:00Some finishes and some progressWell, I'm finally getting around to posting for February. I decided posting monthly goals is a bit silly if I don't post anywhere near the beginning of the month. I think going with my yearly goals and my weekly stitching schedule is a better way to go. And speaking of my yearly goals, I got an old WIP done!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifbgn20veQdezKlEyUfOYbXq-IxbLUNdaUfSfaLPcNevaLB5fV-1B0JSUK-YoN_eYXvmDgUAN5tYj3gFKnEKpu76XaFLzd6JaHBWZ4rlD1Eu6c9tL2Lc41ECKyfiIGzRf711J3OC9Q2KI/s1600/SMO-winterfriends.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" h5="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifbgn20veQdezKlEyUfOYbXq-IxbLUNdaUfSfaLPcNevaLB5fV-1B0JSUK-YoN_eYXvmDgUAN5tYj3gFKnEKpu76XaFLzd6JaHBWZ4rlD1Eu6c9tL2Lc41ECKyfiIGzRf711J3OC9Q2KI/s320/SMO-winterfriends.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>This is Sharing the Holiday by Sanman Originals and it's a freebie from 2007, I think. Instead of stitching the lights, I sewed on minature plastic lights, and I replaced the stitched snowflakes in the background with plastic buttons. I got the idea from someone on the Sanman board who did the same thing. I plan to finish it as a no sew cube.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I've also been keeping my goal of sewing every weekend (ok, almost every weekend). I've been working on quilts.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9RYDdwYGD_0FR__tapbE8v01lOMOLdUThDWz5rGb9xLg-gUDx9ovwt8tgVVm69_yT_3fNBQTarrQbvIf7atcxxChbw6ttrjPkWxC1GuNd7T8ZPc7eMeG5Qznl2-RA1L5jC3D8n-nUVv0/s1600/DSCN0081.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" h5="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9RYDdwYGD_0FR__tapbE8v01lOMOLdUThDWz5rGb9xLg-gUDx9ovwt8tgVVm69_yT_3fNBQTarrQbvIf7atcxxChbw6ttrjPkWxC1GuNd7T8ZPc7eMeG5Qznl2-RA1L5jC3D8n-nUVv0/s320/DSCN0081.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>This is a wall hanging that came as a kit. I got the top completely sewn...now it needs to be quilted.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

I picked up all 12 squares and the setting kit on uber clearence at Joann's a few years ago. I'd like to finish the quilt this year.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
And a small crocheted finish:<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-x7wEAwiGWF38G2BdtUMhyphenhyphenV8HRJmq0cufJbh4tPX49CjLt5Cl_x_saGdw5VwnIgzoVKCSAdq37waEG-ic3XZHFppTvW5sYna_pjQE2JHDysa4lpYxzQw0DFAwhxza7lj_Mk8x-mlC_6c/s1600/DSCN0089.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" h5="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-x7wEAwiGWF38G2BdtUMhyphenhyphenV8HRJmq0cufJbh4tPX49CjLt5Cl_x_saGdw5VwnIgzoVKCSAdq37waEG-ic3XZHFppTvW5sYna_pjQE2JHDysa4lpYxzQw0DFAwhxza7lj_Mk8x-mlC_6c/s320/DSCN0089.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>This was a request from my friend, well actually her niece, for a crocheted baby.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
And now for some progress pictures of some of my WIPs. But not all of them...I have waaaaay too many!<br />

I stitched once (on Aida, argh!) for my grandmother, but I wanted one for me. And the fabric is perfect! It has been a WIP for far too long.<br />

I started this over 10 years ago. It is just one monster of a design, although it is gorgeous. I was completely stuck in the pear leaves, so I gave up and moved to the grass at the bottom. I was able to stitch that section of grass in January just working 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday are my TW days). This month I'm taking a break and working on the Winter Sampler.Shannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00762285189587688365noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701342634011275251.post-76115966487110820712011-01-30T10:20:00.000-08:002011-01-30T10:20:18.341-08:00Valentine-themed weekendDespite not feeling the greatest, I had one of the most productive weekends ever! I stopped by the post office on Friday and picked up some Valentine designs I ordered from the Sanman January newsletter. I kitted all three designs up that afternoon and had two of them stitched and the other started before bedtime. I even pulled out an old Valentine ornament that I hadn't quite finished and got that done too! And then on Saturday, I did the finishing for the three stitched pieces, framed my Mirabilia Valentine fairy, and finished stitching the last of the Sanman designs. And then on Sunday, I "finished" the last design (just had to cut it down and slide it into a tuck) and put all my Valentine decorations up. So yeah, very productive. :)<br />
<br />
And now pictures!<br />
